What is one supposed to do,

When someone comes to visit you?

What does one do when one plays host,

Do you visit places that tourists love most?

I guess I could show him the city sights,

And in the evening the BIG city lights,

I guess I could show him China Town,

Where maybe we could walk around.

I guess I could buy him a souvenir,

And maybe even some electronic gear,

Buy a few gifts for his family,

And hopefully he'll buy something nice for me.

Give him a taste of the local cuisine,

Maybe even show him the "hawker centre" scene.

I hope this is enough to survive his stay,

And hopefully live to die another day.

of weekend getaways & girl friend's birthdays

Escaped the Lion City for a Weekend getaway,

Had a reason, was my girlfriend's birthday,

So off I went to the "Fragrant Harbor",

Out to meet my love's labor.

Seeing her there, waiting for me,

Made me realize why I'm so lucky.

There she was a vision of beauty.

Her love glowing infinitely.

Before I knew it, it was time to go,

How time flew I do not know,

Parting is such sweet sorrow,

We promised each other we'd meet tomorrow.

So back to the Lion City I did return,

Back to this hum drum, I had a living to earn.

Busy working so she can come meet me,

And maybe again relive that sweet memory.

why I decided to blog

“Every day is a journey, and the journey itself is home.”

Where or what that is, is still not known.

Is it success, love, friends, family,

Or will it be a novel commodity.

I search for it across many lands,

Climb mountains, swim seas and walk the desert sands.

Will I ever find it I do not know?

But in its search I will forever go,

Trails, tribulations, what does the future hold in store,

Just what will happen as I walk through that door?

Will there be disappointments, will there be cheer,

Just what will I experience every passing year?

Will I fight dragons or maybe save a fair maid,

Will I ever be happy with what I'm paid?

Just what happens as I travel across coasts?
